Take heed traveler, for this is no ordinary well, but a font of fortune born of a pirate’s lost hope.
Cast upon these shores as the sole survivor of a hapless voyage, I lost both treasure and crew to the Esperanza’s curse. In my despair, I cast what remained of my ill-gotten doubloons into this well, expecting naught but to rid myself of their burden. To my astonishment, the well’s waters stirred, alive with magic, feeding upon the curse. In its depths, treasures emerged, a bounty for my cursed offering. Though my adventuring days are now only a memory, I leave behind this note: Rid Aeternum of those cursed doubloons and the spoils of the Well of Fortune shall be yours to claim.
