She cast her net into the waves and instantly hauled a grand school of fish. Loading the haul into the ship’s foremast trebuchet, she launched it back to shore. The fish bounced into a bonfire and onto the banquet table, already cooked and delicious [citation needed]. The kingdom rejoiced.
“’Twas nothing,” replied Captain Perronelle. Suddenly, a shape appeared from the water behind her. A monstrous, 20-headed beast, 1000 feet tall, towered over her [citation needed]
“You have terrorized my fishy kindred long enough,” the beast snarled through jagged jaws. “And now I will devour you whole!”
