They woke up during my watch. It sounded like a hundred statues and corpses marching up the stairs, cold weapons glinting in their hands. I screamed to wake the others…and then I jumped.

They woke up during my watch. It sounded like a hundred statues and corpses marching up the stairs, cold weapons glinting in their hands. I screamed to wake the others…and then I jumped.
I’m pretty sure I broke an ankle. And then I heard screaming coming from the top of the Wall, felt warm drops of blood showering down around me.
I stopped looking after that. I don’t think the guardians have started chasing me yet. Merciful Mercury, dull my pain and get me out of this place!
