I have a new assistant after the last one went to town to get supplies and never returned. This one is a hardy soul who seems undaunted by anything. Unbeknownst to them, I have laced the stew this evening with werebear fur, finely chopped until it looks like spices. I am refraining from eating until I have seen what the effects are on them, purely for science, you understand. It's best if I keep a sharp mind about this.
It's been fifteen minutes since their first bite, and they are looking uneasy. Ah ha, they must have consumed the fur! They are motioning me over. Oh, wait no, they are motioning me away while they cough. And cough, and cough. Seems like fur in the stew was a terrible idea.
Ah... I do believe I'll be needing another assistant soon.
